Regarding last season, I don’t really recall the timeline from first hearing a rumor to Cig/Dolson actually directly addressing it publicly, but it seemed to last for weeks. 

I don't recall any rumors last year that anybody believed had any legs? (Except ESPN who pretended any school was better than Indiana) What did they address?

I don't recall anything being said Dolson, other than a contract.

Last year the only open jobs were not Penn State. Never had even the slightest fear Cig might leave. This year, I think it's reasonable to wonder. 

But yeah, sounds like they are on the same page. Cig still has to fend off staff poaching though. Which will be an annual issue. If Cig is staying, I can't see any job opening to worry about in the future. Although I 'knew' we were safe from Penn State because I didn't think Franklin would crash and burn so fast.

Well, you said you heard it last year. Why did he say it? And yes, the contract. 

Best I can recall at this moment is rumors about Florida State. I’m sure someone else here has better recollection than me. 

Seems there were weeks of threads on our previous site about it.

I heard some talking head bring up that he was probably a hot commodity and Cig laughed and said we were the rising power in college football why would he leave. (Maybe the pundit said Florida State, like you indicate had legs. I don't know, I must have not believed the internet.)

I ask you, how do you NOT love this man? He  has such a dry sense of humor, never gets too high, is a quote and meme machine. Who wouldn’t want to play for him?
