Some kid pulled this off with Cal 10-20 years ago. I can't remember if he made it to campus, but someone eventually pointed it out. I think the kid ended up at a juco.

I'm going with the kid or his agent are lying about an offer from Indiana in a dumb attempt to drum up interest. Recruiting sites sometimes jump the gun when they see a player commit and don't bother checking with the school side of things to see if they actually had an offer in the first place.
I'm seeking NIL money based on my commitment to Indiana.
