Great article, as always Jamie. I love the way you break it all down.
Damn this is a long wait for a game. I am getting more and more antsy with all this delay. I hope they do something better with the schedule for these games in the future!
Good job, Jamie. Nice read / deep dive.
Three and a half weeks between games is a travesty - absolute bs. THAT is my biggest worry.
Yes way to long a wait for a striving program. Hope IU shifts gears smoothly early in the 1st quarter but I fear it could take a half. I'd probably not start a couple #1's for 1A's or 2's just to add that bit of pissed off to bust through the doldrums of satisfaction.
Ive was saying over and over that the wait was perfect for us, that we needed to heal and being rusty was an OK price to pay. And we would not be rusty.
But that was because I always thought the game was today... 😆
About a week ago was when I realized it was two weeks out, and thought, that is too long! Now I am concerned, since the gap is perfect for bama, not so for us.
Great article. I really enjoyed reading it.

@openwheel at the Rose Bowl today
I do think IU will be ready and prepared to play, however rust can show in a couple ways. 1) Pre-Snap penalties 2) Execution 3) Tackling.
We'll see if those are issues for IU, but I think with the amount of players who needed the recovery time, it is more beneficial than harmful.
@openwheel Any seat you wanted too. No lines for bathrooms or concessions.
As of now, there is pretty good chance of rain for the game.
The line hasn't moved, but I'd think for obvious reasons a rainy game would benefit us a bit more than our opponent.
Alabama doesn't rush as well as they could but the play selection is good.
Fantastic write up!!!
I DO NOT read articles, and this one was superb!
If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.
I sat next to an IU alum from Georgia. He said it looked like IU studied the UGA playbook from the SEC championship game as we ran a lot of the same plays.
