Impressive finish by Iowa.  They have a lot of grit.  Whether or not we do remains to be seen…

This is a great game to get on tape for IU before we go over there. Iowa made some nice adjustments to their defense in the second half all of which will be interesting to IU. They sure played with grit. They will be tough in their place next week.

Glad you posted it because I was going to say. Watching that game, I expect to demolish to Iowa. Iowa State has been horrible in all of their games (Arkansas State and Kansas State are terrible). Rutgers defense has been crap all year but they have a good offense. I think we beat Illinois by more points, but beat Iowa more comfortably overall.

@walt542 As for adjustments, part of that was the reffing. Iowa loses that game if the refs called it fair. Their DBs were committing DPI against Rutgers but they didnt call it, and did call a flimsy holding call on Rutgers that changed the game.

The lesson there is to leave no doubt and just beat Iowa by multiple scores.

As an edit: Not salty about the refs. We need every opponent we play to win their games.

Rutgers threw for 330 yards. Iowa intended to stop the run and it worked. Only 70 yards on 30 attempts. But 330 passing yards is wild.
