Yeah I agree with your assessments... guess I've just been to so many games over the last 50 years that chilling at home for a few isn't so bad. Having season tickets to IU , ND, Bears. I've been to a game almost every weekend in the Fall for 30 years.
Not sure why the games need to be shortened,it’s 3 1/2 hours a day 7 or 8 Saturdays a year.
@ccmac I do not think it’s necessarily the length of the game, it’s the amount of dead time. Needless reviews and the Score, ad, KO, ad sequence sucks the energy out of the game.
Took my kid to the game Saturday and not one person standing by the walk wearing credentials had any clue where kids were meeting the bison for the walk.
I don't think it would have killed them to be more specific on the website, have a big sign and/or educate their people
Play better teams.
The fans will come, and stay.
No need to schedule cupcakes in hopes of going 6-6 and making the Detroit Bowl. We're past that.
One more game of this nonsense (Friday), and then Illinois. The stands will be packed.
Can't believe we scheduled a Friday night game same night as Bloomington North @ South. 🙄

'We' didn't. The Big Ten did. And last time we played ISU on a Friday night it was North-South, Edgewood-OV and TH North vs TH South all on the same night. Could be that way this year too, I just don't pay attention to the HS schedule any longer.
@mattndallas we didn't, TV did, and IU likes the $$$$. TV is in charge of the TV schedules both times and dates. It's TV's world and we are only living in it.
