This dream season to be over, the ecstatic feeling I’ve had every week since the Oregon’s win. BUT, I need to get my life back. I cannot spend every free moment on podcasts , sports radio, social media, rewatching games, PTI, Big 10 coverage etc.   I need to get back to real life soon! Anyone else have this issue?

NAPA is always looking for drivers. That should keep you off your phone for a few hours. At least it worked for me. When I had a full time desk job I was online the entire time. You'll recall stoll tried to get me fired for it.

What issue?

j/k Ive been telling myself that soon my employer will get my full attention again. We will see. Has been an enjoyable season.

At least we have plenty of snow to shovel up here in the evenings. Gets me some exercise before I flop down to watch football highlights and portal news and message boards.

At the risk of sounding overly sentimental, I think this team will stay with us forever. The ride has been that magical. No matter how many amazing seasons IU sports has in the future, I can't imagine anything will ever compare to this.

2025-26 is the new 1976 at IU.

@zeke4ahs

I'll be sad if we lose Monday.  If we win, I'll be forever glad for this "waited my whole life for it" experience.

@zeke4ahs Yeah, it's been an incredible ride and the character and characters of this team will always be fondly remembered. I'd liken it to UK's Unforgettables (Pelphrey, Farmer, Feldhaus, etc....). Names like Sarratt, Cooper, Daley, Fischer, Becker, Landino, Tucker, Hemby, Coogan, Black and Mendoza will always bring a smile to our faces! Seeing them succeed as they move on will also be enjoyable and you know they will!

I just want that banner.  We have had a lot of amazing moments this season that we will all cherish but I am ready to be able to celebrate and just relax.  We have a great team reloaded and ready for next year so the fun will continue again.  For now though, I am quite alright being able to celebrate and have the last word on EVERY other team this year.

Not overly sentimental at all. What these guys have done is remarkable and I think the best turnaround ever in college football and maybe all of sports. That they are such good guys, and have totally bought in to not just the coach and his philosophy but have bought in to Indiana University and the community and represented it so well, makes them unforgettable. Probably the videos I've looked forward to the most after each game is them singing the fight song. That we all got to do it with them in Atlanta is another favorite memory. If you won't get sentimental about this team, you're pretty dead inside. Go Hoosiers!

Still amazed that he took the time to figure out where you worked and called them to tattle.

Diligence is the mother of good luck. Plough deep while sluggards sleep and you shall have corn to sell and keep. Work as if you were to live 100 years. Pray as if you were to die tomorrow. All progress springs from work. Work has laid the foundation of every fortune in America. – Benjamin Franklin

Actually, he didn't get that far. He misspelled my name in his search, then posted the results of his search and asked if my boss would appreciate me posting to the Cooler on company time. Problem was, he had the wrong guy. I offered to give him all the correct contact information, but then Goat swooped in and deleted the back and forth.

@zeke4ahs Everything in moderation. The word I have been using about this football season is, "fun". It is so much fun to have a really good football team. And if they win it all.....I'm having fun.

While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon
