@drjb So just how much shame are the "rating" services feeling right now?

I'm thinking that Vegas has Cig in their crosshairs. The house doesn't like losing, yet here they are.

lol,  there is no shame anywhere to be found these days

weren't we favored in the game?

line was something like 7.5

suck it bieliema

OK, Im coming around on F. Mendoza.

lol

My concerns about him coming into the season look about as sharp as they were about Aiden Fisher heading into last year.

ESPN article from today:

https://www.espn.com.au/nfl/story/_/id/46320659/poll-sellers-edges-nussmeier-qb1-upcoming-nfl-draft

ESPN polled 25 NFL scouts and executives to see who they projected as the top quarterback for the upcoming draft. The responses were varied, as seven different quarterbacks came back as the answer for QB1 among the 25 different responses.

South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers came back as the top vote-getter with 8, edging LSU's Garrett Nussmeier (7). The next crop, in order are Miami's Carson Beck (3), Oklahoma's John Mateer (3), Penn State's Drew Allar (2), Arizona State's Sam Leavitt (1) and Texas' Arch Manning (1).

If 1976 Bob Knight coached football..................... in 2025. Can Cig throw a set of bleechers just for affect?

If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.

They should be in the top 5 in the next poll. And IU needs to block any number from Florida from calling Cignetti’s agent.

I’ll be surprised if we move more than Illinois falls.  If we have no respect after last year, then we need to just win the whole thing, which is fine with me

I’m guessing we end up around 12 to 14

In a weird way…I wouldn’t be surprised if the level of the beat down we gave them ends up going against us in some ways.

it seems like most are giving IU credit…but there will be plenty that use Illinois being overrated as the narrative.

If we had won by only a touchdown or two, there would be a lot less talk about Illinois being overrated.  Same thing happened last year after Nebraska game.  They were ranked by some coming in to our game.

When Illinois drops out the rankings for this loss.  It won’t take long for people to say IU still hasn’t beaten a ranked team…

@iunorth Probably.

Fire up the narrative Illinois stinks and IU has to win a road game vs a top-5 team prove itself, which is an absurd standard no other program is held to.

@iunorth unfortunately that may happen. IU needs Illinois to beat USC next week.

@thehoosierhuddle if Illinois does fall out of the rankings, and stays out, does IU even get credit for a ranked win in the end?
