@iugradman just dumb. They weren’t giving us sh!t down field. Playing quarters and getting pressure with 4 guys. Most on the right side. If you think we played conservative you should look again. Went for it on 4th 3 times. That’s not conservative. We just won playing their game. That’s a sign of a good team. IU teams of the past loses that game. It’s like you guys never watched Iowa play at home.

@hoosieralum07 FSU losing to UVA guarantees we are top 10 now. I was hoping we got alittle more juice in our game, but a win is a win.
Lets all hope Oregon wins now. Oregon is #2 if they win. If they lose, they are behind us. We dont want to be ranked ahead of Oregon when we play them. Nothing good can come from that, less credit in a win, ranking tumble if loss.
@d-b-cooper I would love to believe. But my trust in Shanahan in road games is at an all time low now. We need to play call better. We out talented Iowa today, we cannot out talent Oregon or PSU
In a tightly contested - especially physical - game, they are going to protect the QB taking a knee. They're making sure no extra pushing happens while waiting for the whistle.Someone needs to explain why the refs were blowing the whistle before we took a knee. Never seen that before. Is there some new rule I don’t know about?
@hoosierdaddy road games are like this for 99% of teams. Our QB has thrown 1….1 pick in 5 games. Shanahan is fine.
@d-b-cooper Road games are tough, they are not like this for elite teams. Look at what OSU did to Washington today, who has a better team than Iowa.
I think the team as a whole played well today. I cannot understand running the ball every first down, and generally not trusting our Heisman caliber QB with the ball. Mendoza diced them up when given the opportunity to.

Just hit me, we beat Illinois AND Iowa. Remember how everyone was looking at these two games prior to the season? Happy with 1-1? Well, we went 2-0.
@unclemark -50 yards and taking a safety does not help his heisman campaign. The clock was 0 when he reached like the 20 yardline.
