@jackskip23 ebbs and flows. 5 years ago, and then back 10-15 years... I don't think there's any question the SEC was better, overall, at the top, AND deeper. More recently, I think the new portal and NIL rules have basically leveled the playing field... to the point where they're similar. OSU is probably similar to Georgia. Oregon probably similar to a Bama like program (now that Saban is gone). IU's emergence obviously helps the B10 immensely. PSU, until this year, was "Texas or Oklahoma" like.
When you line them up next to each other, I'd say the B10 might be a little more strong at the top, with OSU, IU, and Oregon, right now. The SEC is probably stronger in the middle, and then they're similar at the bottom...with the caveat that the SEC might not have a program as crappy as Purdue is, right now. Actually...its very therapeutic to think about Purdue and Kentucky both being awful football programs, right now.

Really good thoughts, and it does ebb and flow. What I love is that the Big Ten, at the very least, has closed the gap dramatically. I think the SEC is still stronger from top to bottom, but they used to lap the Big Ten early in the race. Today, it’s far tighter. Hope we can get the upper hand during the CFP and bowl season.
