People are quick to point out Dan and Ty are both represented by CAA.
🤔 hmm…
To be fair, CAA represents a shit ton of people in both sports and media. But Dan looked like a clown yesterday with his 'what big games?' BS. I think it's fine to think Simpson might be better than Fernando as a pro. Maybe he will be. But don't come at us with "FACTUAL INFORMATION" that isn't factual at all.
He was just regurgitating the BS used against IU in 2024 and most of 2025. Many people don't give Big Ten teams enough credit. If the pundits don't rank you, then they aren't a big game. Of course, trying to use that same BS after IU won the Big Ten championship and 3 playoff games shows how much (or little) thought is put into the bs reasoning.
If those middling big ten teams that IU has beaten the last couple years were in the SEC, then they would be ranked wins and considered big games.
Meh. Maybe, but I don't think so in this case. Orlovsky watches the tape. Every game. Every snap. He's not a college guy, so I don't think he is falling into that SEC media trap. But maybe this is just ESPN cooking up some drama and he's paid handsomely to be the face of it and deal with the blowback.People are quick to point out Dan and Ty are both represented by CAA.

I think it's hard not to fall in the trap. Even the polls show an obvious bias to SEC teams. The tape being watched is going to be judged against the quality (or perception of quality) of the competition.
... But Dan looked like a clown yesterday with his 'what big games?' BS.Yeah, exactly, that was the howler in what he said. He seemed to be looking for 'big stats' in big games....
NP if you think another guy is the best. But to say Oregon, Iowa, (Penn State where the O struggled second half, but come on... The Drive!) Ohio State in the title game, Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl, Championship game... aren't big games... OR what he tried to claim - that Mendoza didn't carry us, like the awesome Ty Simpson supposedly did.
LOL! 🤣
Mendoza had a few missed throws in those games. Those TOUGH games. He also played great overall in those games and came through in the clutch.
Simpson had fewer big games, and it seemed to me like the ones at the end, he got smoked.
Exactly. It is the ESPN click bait whore in action. We will hopefully get to watch both of them for many years in the NFL.Meh. Maybe, but I don't think so in this case. Orlovsky watches the tape. I just can't take anything that dude says seriously when this exists...

He and Simpson are represented by the same agency. The higher Simpson is drafted, the bigger the contract, and the bigger the agency's cut. In a weak QB class, maybe they think they can influence where he's drafted.
For me, it sort of starts and stops right there.
