Cleveland.com has officially released their Big Ten media preseason poll, predicting how the Big Ten will stack up this season. The site took over this role after the Big Ten stopped officially producing it in 2010. How do we feel with how it turned out?
1. Penn State
2. Ohio State
3. Oregon
4. Illinois
5. Michigan
6. Indiana
7. Iowa
8. Nebraska
9. USC
10. Washington
11. Minnesota
12. Wisconsin
T13. Michigan State
T13. Rutger
15. UCLA
16. Maryland
17. Northwestern
18. Purdue
I wouldn’t have Indiana any lower than 4th.
#4 through #9 all have a shot at that likely fourth and final playoff spot (assuming Oregon is good, which isn’t a given). Hopefully it’s us.
@kelly_32 Anywhere from 1 through 8 ish is plausible. 3-6 seems most likely. There could be some really good teams in that 7-9 range this year, though.
All changing week four!
Go Hoosiers!
At media day, Coach Cignetti praised LB Aiden Fisher as the no. 1 believer in the Hoosiers. A recent national poll of the nation's LBs showed that Aiden Fisher is rated 10th in the nation at LB. What a player for the Hoosiers.
6th?!?!?! 6th?!?!?
I think it's fine (and doesn't matter) - who would have thought three years ago that we would be ticked about being 6th in a preseason poll
