I’ve always thought of him as a prick but this is pretty funny…

Fantastic
That is pretty damn good.
He’s mellowed out a bit since getting to Illinois.
@tammany the Arkansas tenure was humbling for him. He’s a pretty cool guy now. He went to bat for IU in 2024 for the playoff selection and he’s been one of the most vocal coaches in the B1G about our conference getting more respect in the rankings. I’m not quite ready to forgive him for all of the beat downs from his time at Wisconsin, but I’m getting there
I have never understood quite why IU fans have been upset with Bielma over that game. I watched it live and our defense never got off the bus that day. He had his 3rd and 4th string players scoring on us at the end. Even Cignetti says you play to a standard regardless of the score. Did we expect them to take a knee every down? I think our 63-10 trouncing more than makes up for the 83 he put on us at Wisconsin. If you don’t want to get blown out play better defense and better complementary football. Those post 2007 Lynch years and pre Tom Allen years were some of the worst defenses I have ever watched play football. I have never held any animosity over that game, because I never blame opposing teams for blowouts. We allowed it to happen. We took our beating and moved on. I’m just happy we will never see games like that again while Cig is in charge (knock on wood).@tammany the Arkansas tenure was humbling for him. He’s a pretty cool guy now. Me too. Never bothered me other than the fact we were really terrible. Never saw that as Wisconsin's fault. I do chime in now and then and say 'payback!', but once is enough.
I've thought Bielema was mostly OK because most of the time I agreed with him, on who he was dishing it out towards. And he can both dish it out and take it, usually. He's a solid coach. Been around.
I love Bielema. Always have. Watched some episodes of a show ESPN did around him while he was at Arkansas and I thought he was great. Not his fault we sucked balls.
My biggest issue with him is when he left Wiscy and some of his d-bag comments about how superior the SEC was. Alvarez built that program and handed it to him on a silver platter....he then pulled the rug out on them, or at least that's the way it seemed. Tells a lot about a person and their character.
With that said, the Arkansas disaster does seem to have really humbled him and I've been impressed by him since then.
When he got Shane Beamer all mad that was pretty funny.
I enjoy watching him own the SEC in bowl games now.
