Beer prices in the stadium?

Going to get there a bit later than usual so I won’t have time to partake in many frosty beverages in the lot.

i usually have had what my wife allows me (yeah I know) by the time we go to our seats.

So she may allow me to have a couple in the stadium if it falls within my weekly allowance.

This is all tongue in cheek sorta 🫤

$13 for a GameDay Lager.  Not great!

I kinda think of it as an athletic dept donation…

That's about par for the venues around here for the 16 oz cans.

Some places just do the 25oz cans (like Ruoff) that go for $16 plus.

Always pricey unless you get your drinking done beforehand.

I think it's only like a $1 cheaper for a Coors Light. So yeah, you may as well get the Upland Hoosier game day. It's just as tasty(IMHO), supports a local business and supports the University. Win win win!

@hurryinghoosiers oh yeah for sure and usually I have my fill before I come to the stadium.

Thats why I have never even priced them inside the stadium.

Just sayin': you could very easily smuggle in mini-bottles of booze.

$13?

I know a winery in northern Indiana that gets $45 for a bucket of domestics(5).

They price them high because (a) captive market and (b) if they sold them cheaper too many people would drink too much. All arenas and similar venues do this, they don't want a bunch of hammered kids vomiting all over the place.

Ha, true.  Though I don't think anything is stopping that from happening this Saturday night.

Damn. Do we have to make it a home game for Illinois?
