Anyone coming to Eugene?

Looks like weather is going to be mid to high fifties, possible rain showers, nothing serious. Typically visitors are in the Southwest corner, probably section 38 at the back. Not a bad seat in the house. The MO or Moshofsky Center is the indoor practice facility at the West end of the stadium, it's basically a large sports bar on game days. You will notice construction going on next to the MO that will be the new indoor practice facility. If by chance you are on the East end of Autzen, PK Park (baseball stadium) is basically an outdoor beer garden.

Do check out the athletic facilities at the U of O, Hayward Field is the most amazing track and field facility in the USA.

As for game day, it's a 12:30 kickoff, so a morning trip to the Lane County Farmers Market/Saturday Market will give you a bit of a feel for Eugene.

How to get to Autzen: Shuttle buses are excellent or walk from campus, it's beautiful and you'll have a great view of the Willamette River. Driving to and parking at the stadium is a lot more time consuming... that's my personal opinion.

Also, if you're heading North after the game on I-5 the state police will be out there making it safe for everyone.... Read "don't drink and drive"

Enjoy your stay.

Thanks I have a group of friends going. I’ll send this to them. Good luck and let’s at least come away injury free!

Totally agree on the injury free. One other place worth a little time is the Fifth Street Public Market area. Good place to hang a bit. I'll be hitting the Farmers Market about 9am tomorrow, pick up a little something at Hideaway Market, maybe some strawberries and blueberries, as well as other organic veggies for the week. That's my regular first stop on Saturdays.

Picked up a case of Oregon Pinot from Broadway Wine today, that should stock the house for a while. If you like Pinot Noir, the Willamette Valley is a great place to enjoy excellent Pinot.

As for restaurants, Beau Perlieu is excellent, Sabi is very good, Gordon Tavern and Lion and Owl are very good. Granted they will dent your pocket a bit but, that's up to you.

On the cheap side I like Tacovore. If you're looking for more traditional midwestern food the North Bank or North Fork might fit your needs.
