Really like the "Notes and Quotes."
I think Bielema said in his presser that Bowick is expected to play for them, either way the secondary is going to need to step up. If we can shut down Beatty, I really like our odds.
One reason Im worried about the game and not cocky at all even though we are the better team, is Bielema is a good coach. And has a ton of experience.
They are good, and will be ready. Tough matchup.
Go Hoosiers!
@openwheel This is what you hope you sign up for as a CFB fan. A huge home game against a really good opponent.
You know it! Well put.
Couldn't agree more. Our conquering OL of the past 3 games must overachieve in at least 1 mode, rushing or passing. We've been running the ball to the left a lot 1st 3 games. Was that by design or just weak side, strong side field position? Something no doubt is in the waiting for that team over west.
@hoosier-clarion Any time you can run the ball well it's a major advantage. I think running at the goal line against ODU was by design, but very plain. If the opponent can't stop it, why change it up. IU has run the ball 43 more times than passing, but 2 of those games were blowouts.
The numbers matter, but they are early numbers and to me this game is going to depend on how badly this IU team wants to show the football world they are tired of being disrespected, and just how good they are now and going to be. Great information and interesting reading.
@spfldbill Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed :). Always fun to put these together. I 100% agree with you though, this game is a mental battle. We need to show the world that we are legit and aren't a one hit wonder. Saturday is absolutely massive for the program
