While Tevin Coleman was the lone Hoosier to get drafted this past weekend, he is far from the only Indiana player to get a shot to play on Sundays. Just hours after the draft was completed three Hoosiers were snatched up as priority free agents on Saturday night. The talented speedster Shane Wynn will be joining Coleman down in Atlanta and looks like he will be competing for time as a kick returner and slot receiver. Former walk-on Collin Rahrig will be headed to Pittsburgh to continue his underdog story. And Florida native Bobby Richardson is headed back south, now to Louisiana where he will be joining the Saints.

Tevin Coleman selected by Falcons

Former Hoosier running back Tevin Coleman was selected with the 73rd overall draft pick on Friday evening by the Atlanta Falcons. Coleman joins former Indiana wide receiver Cody Latimer as the team’s second, day two selection in as many years, as Latimer was drafted in the second round in 2014 by the Denver Broncos.

The first round of the NFL Draft is tonight and there is no shortage of opinions about how teams will utilize their highly-prized draft picks. Prognosticators all around the nation have prophesied over a college football player's future pro career before they have even stepped foot out on the NFL gridiron.  They confidently declare which athlete is the best at his position, which is a sleeper, and which one is most likely to bust. And while it's always interesting to read what they have to say, it often does not pan out the way many have predicted. Too many variables factor into the success and longevity of a player's career, far beyond just their raw talent and ability.

The talented junior is still recovering from surgery he had performed on his foot back in December for an injury he suffered during his last season in Bloomington.
