Series History: The Michigan Wolverines have tortured the Indiana Hoosiers, winning 24 games in a row between the two and coming up victorious in 59 of the 68 matchups all-time. IU has not beaten Michigan since 1987, a 14-10 win for Bill Mallory’s program. The Hoosiers have been incredibly close (2009, 2015 and 2017 come to mind) but the Wolverines have prevailed each time. Indiana will certainly be hoping the past is not predictive.

On Saturday night, the Hoosiers chances were reinforced by the three takeaways and three other fourth down stops the defense created which led them to a 37-21 win in Piscataway.

Series History – Tennessee and Indiana have only met one time on the gridiron. The matchup occurred in 1988 and the Volunteers, led by Johnny Majors, knocked off Bill Mallory’s Hoosiers 27-22 in Atlanta.

What’s at Stake – With a win, the Indiana Hoosiers can match the program record for victories in a single season (nine). They can also win a bowl game for the first time in nearly 30 years. This is an opportunity for to put a statement victory on the end of a breakthrough campaign and knock off a blue-blood program in front of a national audience.
