This weekend was the revenge of the Big Ten West as the former division members scored some huge wins. Here is how IU’s 2026 opponents fared in week four. 

Indiana’s Opponent Record Remaining Schedule: 22-11 (.667)

Rutgers Scarlet Knights (1-3, 0-1): Last Week Win 58-7 vs. Howard
Rutgers finally got into the win column against Howard and are playing their best football of the season as Indiana comes to town.

Nebraska Cornhuskers (4-0, 1-0): Last Week Win 34-13 at Michigan State
The Huskers are playing well right now and got an important road win at Michigan State. They get a reeling Maryland at home next week before Indiana rolls into town.

No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes (3-1, 1-0): Last Week Win 42-19 vs. Illinois

The Buckeyes went to Jeremiah Smith for 217 yards and four touchdowns to get past Illinois. This week they travel to Iowa City for a ranked matchup against the Hawkeyes, who just knocked off Michigan in dramatic fashion.

No. 18 Michigan Wolverines (3-1, 0-1)): Last Week Loss 20-19 vs. No. 19 Iowa
Time finally ran out on Michigan and this time they were the victims of a touchdown pass in the final seconds for a one point loss. They will try and rebound as Minnesota comes in for the Little Brown Jug.

Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-1, 1-0): Last Week Win 27-24 at Washington 

That was an impressive late-night win for the Gophers at Washington. Can they carry that momentum to Ann Arbor

No. 14 USC Trojans (4-1, 1-1): Last Week Loss 41-27 vs. No. 20 Oregon 

USC’s defense was carved up by backup quarterback Dylan Raiola, who came in relief for an injured Dante Moore. Controversy stirs with the Trojans after a late hit targeting on Moore. The fans and boosters are also about done with Lincoln Riley in big games.
