Indiana Men’s Basketball to Host Cream and Crimson Scrimmage Oct. 2

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men’s basketball program will host an intrasquad scrimmage at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 2, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The event is open to the public, and doors will open at 4:30 p.m. ET. 

The Cream & Crimson Scrimmage will provide a firsthand look at the 2026-27 Indiana Hoosiers with player introductions, four quarters of scrimmaging, and an autograph session with the team. 

This event will be free to the public, and all parking lots will be open. Attendees will continue to operate under the Clear Bag Policy.

Indiana brought in a seven-player transfer portal class, highlighted by Markus Burton (Notre Dame), Darren Harris (Duke), Bryce Lindsay (Villanova), Justin Monden (Maryland Eastern Shore), Jaeden Mustaf (Georgia Tech), Aiden Sherrell (Alabama), and Samet Yigitoglu (SMU). The Hoosiers also added a four-man freshman class of Vaughn Karvala, Trevor Manhertz, Prince-Alexander Moody, and Clemens Sokolov to pair with second-year forward Trent Sisley. 

The Hoosiers went 4-0 and secured a gold medal at the 2026 FISU America Games in Lima, Peru. Third-year forward Aiden Sherrell claimed Tournament MVP honors and averaged 14.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocked shots per game. First-year guard Prince-Alexander Moody posted 12.3 points, 4.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per contest, while first-year wing Vaughn Karvala led all Hoosiers in scoring at 16.3 points per outing. 

Attendees are asked to bring a canned food item to donate to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank.
