The weather will not have an impact on Indiana’s Big Ten opener against Northwestern, but it will on how the stands look as severe weather in the Pacific has delayed shipments of Indiana’s latest rally towels. However, Indiana has scrounged together about 55,000 towels to give out to fans, they just may be a little different
“While we are disappointed we won’t have our planned rally towel for the Big Ten opener, we remain Never Daunted. In that spirit, in the last 24 hours, we have managed to secure approximately 55,000 red and white rally towels that will be distributed to fans as they enter the seating bowl. Since many fans collect the towels, we have added a special nuance to the substitute towels for tonight’s game. Select members of the team have autographed a limited number of the replacement towels as a souvenir item. The autographed towels will be mixed among all the towels that will be handed out in the stadium entryways and premium seating areas.” Indiana Athletics said in an e-mail to season ticket holders Friday morning.
