Indiana’s Week in Review

The Indiana Hoosiers Men’s Soccer Program is arguably the greatest program in men’s college soccer history. They continue to display such a pedigree both on the field and in the nationwide rankings. Indiana has now risen up to #2 in the country and are playing every bit like it. Indiana is undefeated thus far in the 2026 campaign and boasts a record of 6-0-1, with their one draw coming against a strong Louisville squad in Indiana’s first road game of the season.

Indiana just wrapped up their first Big Ten win of the season, defeating the Michigan Wolverines last Friday by a score of 1-0 in Ann Arbor. Indiana played very well in this matchup and held control for most of the game. Check out the details of Indiana’s win over the Wolverines here, as fellow contributor Ashton Enlow did a phenomenal job recapping the match.

Now, Indiana continues Big Ten play in what will be their biggest test of the 2026 season thus far as the defending champion Washington Huskies come to town. The Huskies rank 16th in the nation and come into Bloomington with a record of 4-2-1. Don’t let the record fool you just because it’s not as shiny as Indiana’s, however, as the Huskies have had a difficult schedule thus far in 2026. They’ve played against three ranked teams along with opening Big Ten play against Penn State. So far, they’ve performed well and certainly possess the talent to repeat as National Champions.

Indiana vs. Washington Prediction

Despite Washington’s talent and national championship defense in full swing, I am fully riding the Hoosiers in this one. Bill Armstrong Stadium will be bumping, the Hoosiers will be looking to avenge a 3-0 loss in Washington from the previous season, and Indiana’s staff and players will no doubt be aiming to stamp their mark on the national stage with a big win over such a strong side. Give me a 1-0 Indiana win.

The game will be taking place at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana on Friday, September 18th at 7:30 PM ET. It will be broadcasted on B1G+. Fans can join the Hoosier Huddle Live Chat Here at 6:30pm

Upcoming Indiana Schedule

After the Hoosiers host Washington, they begin a double header of two more Big Ten matchups. They’ll travel to Madison, Wisconsin on Tuesday (9/22) to take on the Badgers and then will head back home again to Indiana as the Penn State Nittany Lions come to town on Friday (9/25). Be on the lookout for another preview piece from me ahead of those matchups as well.
