
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced its 2026-27 women’s basketball conference schedules on Wednesday (Sept. 16).
The 18-game slate gets underway on Dec. 5 when IU travels to Northwestern. After concluding non-conference play before winter break, the Hoosiers resume league action at home against Rutgers (Dec. 29). The new year kicks off in Minneapolis versus the Golden Gophers (Jan. 2) before returning back to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall against Maryland (Jan. 5) and reigning national champion UCLA (Jan. 8).
The next three are on the road starting at Penn State (Jan. 12), at Iowa (Jan. 17) and at Michigan State (Jan. 24). That slate is followed by three home games against USC (Jan. 27), Purdue in the Barn Burner trophy game (Jan. 31), and Ohio State (Feb. 3). This year’s west coast swing takes Indiana to the Pacific Northwest at Washingon (Feb. 7) and at Oregon (Feb. 10).
Indiana entertains Wisconsin on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) before finishing up the rivalry series at Purdue (Feb. 17). Illinois visits Bloomington (Feb. 21) before the final stretch for IU at Michigan (Feb. 24) and at home versus Nebraska.
All tip times and TV designations will be announced at a later date. Previously, the team announced its 13-game non-conference slate which is set to officially begin on Nov. 3.
Indiana enters the 2026-27 season anchored by returners fourth year guard Lenée Beaumont (13.3 ppg.), All-Freshman team honoree forward Maya Makalusky (9.7 ppg, while third year forward Zania Socka-Nguemen (11.8 pgg., 8.7 rpg.) looks to return to full strength after seeing action in just 11 games due to injury. In total, 10 new faces join the roster this season including transfers fifth year players Alisa Williams and Kenzie Hare along with fourth year forward Jess Petrie. The eighth-ranked recruiting class in the country also resides in Bloomington led by McDonald’s All-American forward Addy Nymechek.
