Indiana Hoosiers starting cornerbacks Jamari Sharpe and AJ Harris are both out for Saturday’s game against the Howard Bison, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Sharpe and Harris were injured in the first quarter of last week’s win over North Texas. Expect Jaylen Bell to start in Sharpe’s spot and Ryland Gandy to start for Harris.
“A.J. (Harris) went down play eight and Jamari Sharpe, last play of the first quarter. Jaylen Bell played extensively to the field and I thought did a nice job. And Ryland Gandy played on the bench. And got a tackle a little better in space, the missed assignments.” Head coach Curt Cignetti said on Monday of the situation.
Behind Gandy and Bell are Carson Williams, Zachary Smith and Kasmir Hicks.
