
College Football is underway, and two of Indiana’s 12 regular-season opponents played in Week 0 this past weekend: USC and Howard. As the season goes on, we will take a look at how IU’s opponents fare each week.

Howard Bison (1-1): Last Week Loss 28-21 vs. Richmond
Indiana’s next opponent did not look nearly as good in their home opener. Ja’Shawn Scroggins struggled throwing the ball after throwing for over 300 yards in the opener.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (0-1): Last Week Loss 49-14 at Nevada
The Hilltoppers were blown out on the road in Reno and gave up over 300 yards on the ground. A trip to Georgia is not going to make WKU fans feel any better.

Northwestern Wildcats (1-0): Last Week Win 34-18 vs. South Dakota State
The Jackrabbits gave the Wildcats a stiff challenge, but Northwestern pulled away in the second half. Quarterback Aiden Chiles threw for 273 yards and a score;

Rutgers Scarlet Knights (0-1): Last Week Loss 37-21 vs. UMass
Rutgers got embarrassed by UMass 37-21 in a game where it was the Scarlet Knights that looked to be coming off the 0-12 season

Nebraska Cornhuskers (1-0): Last Week Win 49-21 vs. Ohio
It looked ugly for a while in Lincoln as Ohio was as close as 28-21 in the second half, but the Nebraska offense powered through late.

No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes (1-0): Last Week Win 56-3 vs. Ball State
Ohio State drubbed Ball State as expected. The Buckeyes head to Texas for an early-season measuring-stick game.

No. 16 Michigan Wolverines (1-0): Last Week Win 13-12 vs. Western Michigan
Michigan pulled off another heist at the Big House as they found an extra second to complete a Hail Mary for a one-point win.

Minnesota Golden Gophers (1-0): Last Week Win 59-7 vs. EIU
Minnesota easily dispatched Eastern Illinois and Drake Lindsey looks really good throwing the ball. The Gophers have a big one coming up with SEC foe Mississippi State making the trip to the Twin Cities.

No. 14 USC Trojans (2-0): Last Week Win 39-0 vs. Fresno State
USC answered some doubters with a strong defensive performance. Freshman wide receiver Trey Mosley is going to be a star.

Washington Huskies (1-0): Last Week 24-10 Win vs. Washington State
The Huskies defense looked dominant against the Cougars, but the offense did not take advantage of all their opportunities.

Purdue pulled away late against Indiana State. The schedule gets harder as Wake Forest comes into town for a pivotal swing game.

North Texas Mean Green (0-1)
The Mean Green opened the season against the Hoosiers with a loss, but their performance should give their fan base some hope for a strong showing in the AAC.
