Indiana’s defensive backfield is the newest unit that they have on their defense. They were so sound in the position last year, and it will be crucial for them to be on par with last season. Especially when they face heavy passing attacks. With nine days left till the Hoosiers play football, it is a great time to learn about Seaonta Stewart Jr.
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 203 pounds
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
Class/Position: Second year/ Defensive Back

Stewart was a member of the team last season, but saw no playing time. He was a consensus three-star prospect out of Ohio and the number 19 defensive back according to rivals. As a freshman, he won the Ohio division one state title. As a senior, he recorded eight pass breakups and 12 tackles.
Stewart was recruited by Purdue, West Virginia, Penn State, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Illinois, and Oklahoma before committing to the Hoosiers on July 8, 2024.
Stewart will likely see his first collegiate snaps this season for the Hoosiers in backup positions or as a member of the special teams. If he could get special teams reps, then he would likely be on his way to gaining enough coach trust to play more minutes. It would be huge for Stewart to get some snaps this year, for him to be ready to take a larger leap in his third season.
