Countdown to 2026 Indiana Football- 12 Days Tobi Osunsanmi

90

The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to Kickoff is in its final two weeks! As Curt Cignetti and his staff prepare for their third season in Bloomington with championship aspirations once again at the forefront, Hoosier Huddle continues one of our favorite offseason traditions: the Countdown to Kickoff. Over the 100 days leading up to Indiana’s season opener, we’ll spotlight every player on the 2026 roster. Today, we turn our attention to a new member along the defensive line, Tobi Osunsanmi.

Height: 6’2”

Weight: 251 pounds

The Indiana Hoosiers were extremely strong along the defensive line last season and were productive once again in the transfer portal to minimize any drop in production. One big pickup was Tobi Osunsanmi, one of two Kansas State transfers this offseason (Chiddi Obiazor). Osunsami was the Hoosiers’ highest-rated defensive portal addition, despite battling injuries that kept him out the back half of last season. He was productive in the first half, however, playing in six games and totaling 19 tackles, five tackles for loss, and four sacks.

Indiana lost a lot on the line this offseason, with guys like Mikail Kamara exhausting eligibility, along with Stephen Daley and Kellen Wyatt (right now). However, if Osunsanmi is able to stay healthy for the whole year, he looks like one of the premier edge rushers in the country. He will slot perfectly into Kamara’s role last season, wreaking havoc in the backfield while also having the athletic ability to drop into coverage and make plays in space.

The countdown continues each day on Hoosier Huddle until the Hoosiers kick off the 2026 season against the North Texas Mean Green!
