Cuono came to the Hoosiers last season by way of Florida, where he was a top 100 recruit and a top 65 running back in the country. Cuono tallied 3,328 career rushing yards and 34 rushing touchdowns and 418 career receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns in high school. Cuono ultimately chose Indiana over Auburn, South Carolina, and West Virginia.
As a freshman for the Hoosiers in 2025, Cuono made his collegiate debut against Indiana State, where he had two carries for a total of 17 yards. Because of the depth of the Indiana running back room, Cuono opted to redshirt last season, allowing him to learn from the veterans of the room while preserving his eligibility.
Heading into the 2026 season, Indiana once again has a strong running back room. Cuono looks to work his way into the mix amongst teammates Turbo Richard and Khobie Martin this season.
