It was time for a full padded practice as the Indiana Hoosiers took to the turf of Memorial Stadium on humid Thursday morning. Today, I focused on the offensive line, cornerbacks and passing drills with wide receivers and tight ends.
Indiana Practice Basics
- Practice was inside Memorial Stadium
- Player leaders for Tuesday were OL Drew Evan, DB Jamari Sharpe and LB Rolijah Hardy.
- Players were in full pads
Indiana Practice Observations
- Flex period is the loudest part of practice as Tyson Brown fires the team up.
- Defensive backs worked on backpedals and breaking on the ball. Jaylen Bell and Carson Williams look really fluid in their hip movements.
- The offensive line worked in tandems, doing drills that focused on staying low and exploding into blocks. Carter Smith was giving feedback to younger linemen as they went through the drill after him.
- The quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends worked on routes against air. No passes hit the ground that we saw.
- The tight end group made several nice catches and showed nimble footwork to stay in bounds.
- At one point, Josh Hoover threw a pass to Nick Marsh that was seemingly off target, but the two met and quickly talked before patting each other on the chest.
