The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to Football Kickoff is melting away as the season opener is just 26 days away. Today, we focus on second-year wide receiver Cade Kaiser, a walk-on from Batesville, Indiana.

Class/Position: 2nd Yr/Wide Receiver
Kaiser joined the Hoosiers football program prior to the 2025 season. The 6’5” receiver missed all of his senior season at Batesville due to injury, but still managed to accumulate 1,354 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns. He also excelled on the hardwood, scoring over 1,000 career points.
Last year, he did not see any playing time at IU as a freshman. Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti is not afraid to play walk-ons on special teams and have players earn their way to bigger roles. While it may not be this season, Kaiser has the body type and athleticism to be one of those walk-ons who can work their way into playing time.
