Grant Wilson is a grad student who transferred to Indiana in the 2024 offseason from Old Dominion. Wilson was the third-string quarterback for most of last season, but will fight to be the backup this year.

Wilson was the starter for 14 games at Old Dominion and brings some needed experience to the Indiana Football quarterback room. He is a player that Cignetti can have faith in if things go wrong.

Wilson will likely see snaps in Indiana’s early games, where he will look to separate himself from Tyler Cherry, who will also compete for the backup position. Josh Hoover will undoubtedly be the starter.

Quarterback injuries are unwanted but possible, so fans should be eager to see what Wilson can do. Cignetti trusts his guys and knows that his team could still compete at the highest level with Wilson.
