Add Hoosier Huddle to GoogleBaylor Wilkin grew up in Van Buren, Ohio, where he attended Findlay High School. While in Findlay, Wilkin was a First-Team All-Toledo Blade as a senior, as well as selected to the all-district team. Upon graduating high school, Wilkin was recognized as a top-90 national offensive line prospect by ESPN and a consensus top-10 recruit in Ohio. He was also recognized as the First-Team All-Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division during his senior season. The three-star prospect, according to 247Sports, chose Indiana on July 9, 2024. Wilkin chose Indiana over 19 other offers, including Cincinnati, Michigan State, and Marshall.
During his 2025 freshman season, Wilkin appeared in four games, and his debut came against Kennesaw State on September 9. Wilkin found opportunity in the fourth quarters of his four appearances. At Maryland on November 1, Wilkin was instrumental in the 93-yard scoring drive in the fourth quarter; he also paved the way for a 1-yard touchdown by running back Khobie Martin. At Lafayette against Purdue, Wilkin helped the offense secure 102 yards of total offense and a touchdown drive. In his first year, Wilkin had glimpses of prowess and proved that he can make a difference on Memorial Field.
As a player, Wilkin is known for his elite mobility as a lineman and ability to adjust laterally. He stays ahead of the pass rush and uses his athleticism to win one-on-ones. The 6-foot-5 athlete also forces defensive linemen to the second level and uses his leverage to gain the edge. Wilkin optimizes his choice to redshirt by getting extra reps and hopefully securing a starting position in the offensive line room. Production and success are a steady process, and Wilkin has taken on that challenge. With a year of the Hoosier system in his back pocket, Wilkin will surely be a young talent to look out for during the 2026-27 regular season.
The countdown continues each day on Hoosier Huddle until the Hoosiers kick off the 2026 season against the North Texas Mean Green!
