Big Ten Announces 2027 Conference Opponents for Indiana Baseball

The Big Ten unveiled the 2024 baseball schedule, starting on March 12. Indiana's team opens with a bye weekend and hosts Nebraska from March 19-21. They will also face Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, and Maryland at home, with key road series against USC, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Ohio State.

Big Ten Conference Release

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The first portion of next year’s baseball schedule was unveiled on Wednesday (June 24) afternoon. The Big Ten announced the 10 conference series that each program will play next year, beginning on the weekend of March 12th. Every team will have a bye series throughout the year against a non-conference opponent.

For the first time since expanding to a 30-game slate, the Indiana baseball team will open the conference window with its bye weekend. Big Ten action begins on March 19th for the Hoosiers with a three-game home weekend against Nebraska. It’s the third time in the last four years that these two teams have played. The month of March wraps up with the first trip to Rutgers since 2022. 

Indiana Home Big Ten Series

Nebraska (March 19-21)
Oregon (April 9-11)
Penn State (April 16-18)
Purdue (April 30-May 2)
Maryland (May 20-22).

Indiana Road Big Ten Series

USC (April 23-25)
The Hoosiers will also play
at Minnesota (April 2-4)
Michigan State (May 7-9)
Ohio State (May 14-16).

The rest of IU’s 2027 slate will be released during the fall.
