Indiana Lands 15th Commitment in OL Caleb Pugh

Indiana OL Caleb Pugh

The Indiana Hoosiers landed their 15th commitment of the 2027 high school class in offensive lineman Caleb Pugh, out of Grand Rapids Catholic in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pugh seemingly came out of nowhere to land at Indiana, but it was reported by Peegs.com’s Matt Weaver that Pugh camped at IU recently and impressed the staff.

Pugh is listed by 247Sports as 6’3 and 295 pounds. He also self reports is a wing span of 80″.

A four-sport athlete, Pugh was an All-Region football player, a state champion wrestler and also participated in track and field and lacrosse. He’s a tremendous athlete and has the size and skills to be molded into a Big Ten offensive lineman.

As a high school wrestler, Pugh has an outstanding 109-17 career record and a 45-2. His HUDL highlights show an offensive lineman who has a mean streak and can quickly get to the second level and punish defenders. He translates to the interior of the offensive line where IU loves to pull guards and have good athletes get in space against smaller defenders.

Pugh’s offer list does not jump off the page, but shows an athlete who has both the smarts and physicality to play in the Ivy League.

The Hoosiers’ 2027 high school class stands at 15 members and ranks 44th nationally at the time of publishing.
