The weather is heating up and that means Indiana football is getting closer. The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to Kickoff continues on with day 81, freshman running back Jayeron Campbell.

Class/Position: Freshman/RB
The future of Indiana’s running back room is in good hands with true freshman Jayeron Campbell. The stout running back from Georgia had a decorated high school career and had an impressive spring practice for the Hoosiers.
“The freshman (Jayreon Campbell) is doing a nice job and (Sean) Cuono is doing better, you add Beebe to that mix, and I feel good about that group. Good depth and good competition.” Curt Cignetti said early in spring practice.
The Indiana running back group is loaded this year, but the position is starting to get balanced out. Campbell should have the season to develop and grow into the position. Campbell should get a redshirt year, with the nine-game rule it is easy, but could see some time early in the season.
He is a tough runner who will be in the rotation down the road for IU.
