Indiana Football’s tight end room is full of versatile athletes, and Blake Thiry represents this perfectly. With 84 days until the season, now is a perfect time to become acquainted with the redshirt freshman who will attempt to crack Indiana’s tight end rotation this season.
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 236 pounds
Hometown: Prairie Du Chein, Wisconsin
Class/Position: Redshirt Freshman/ Tight End
Blake Thiry was one of the most intriguing recruits in the 2025 class, as he is a true jack-of-all-trades. Thiry played wide receiver, linebacker, long snapper, running back, and tight end in high school, but will focus mainly on tight end in college. Don’t be surprised if he takes snaps as Indiana’s long snapper this season, though.
As a senior, Thiry grabbed 2,100 all-purpose yards. He also had 14 touchdowns in the air and 33 touchdowns on the ground. Thiry was also a track star in high school, competing in the 110m hurdles and the triple jump.
Thiry came into Indiana at 216 pounds, but has now weighed in at 236 pounds. This will likely allow him to see his first collegiate action this season, especially in Indiana’s first three non-conference games (North Texas, Howard and Western Kentucky).
Thiry’s versatile athleticism makes him a very intriguing player for Indiana over the next 3-4 seasons.
