Indiana did not play Washington in the Regular Season

The Huskies knocked off No. 12 Minnesota after a 95-minute rain delay on Wednesday afternoon. Washington rode the arm of Morgan Riemer who picked up her 23rd win of the season. She threw a complete game, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits. She struck out six and walked three batters.

Washington fell behind 1-0 and 2-1 before scoring three runs over the last three innings. The Husky offense did leave 11 runners on base as they could not take advantage of nine hits and seven walks. Giselle Alverez was two-for-three with a double.

The Huskies do use two starters, but Riemer is their workhorse and most rusted pitcher. She has thrown 166.1 innings in the circle this year. It has not been announced if she will start against IU. Washington’s other regular starter is Sophia Ramuno, who has 18 starts on the year. She is 10-5 with a 1.12 ERA and strikes out over a batter per inning.
