The Indiana Hoosiers close in on their school-record NFL Draft (7) haul with their fifth selection of this year’s draft. Former IU receiver Elijah Sarratt was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 15th pick of the fourth round.

Sarratt was an instrumental piece to IU’s turnaround the last two seasons. He worked his way up from the FCS level (St. Francis) to the G6 (James Madison) and finally to Indiana and the Big Ten. He finished the 2025 season with 65 catches for 830 yards and 15 touchdowns.

What the Ravens are Getting?

If Baltimore didn’t have a Waffle House, they do now. Sarratt is an elite contested ball catcher and route runner. He has enough speed to get open, but is more of a strong-handed technician.

Big receiver whose competitiveness and elite catch-phase execution allow him to overcome his athletic limitations. While he’s nicknamed “Waffle House” because he’s said to be “always open,” Sarratt sees a high number of contested targets versus man coverage. He’s tight-hipped with below-average foot quickness and falls below the line as a separator. Once the throw goes up, however, he consistently beats corners with size, body control and catch-space strength to clean up. He’ll face press matchups that leave his catch column dry, but he’s built and wired for possession targets over the first two levels. – Lance Zierlein NFL.com

What is Sarratt’s 2026 Outlook?

Fourth-round picks always have a little bit of work to do to make it into the rotation. The Ravens need a dependable receiver who can give Lamar Jackson a reliable target to throw to. Sarratt could become a rotational player, especially if he can continue his ability to haul in clutch passes.
