IU Junior Day Weekend Brings Star Recruits to Bloomington

The Hoosiers will host their second junior day as they focus on building for the future. Here is the list of prospects Hoosier Huddle confirmed will be on campus Janurary 31st and February 1st. IU's January 31st Visitors Jameson Purcell, QB, Park Ridge, Illinois (IU Commit) Purcell was the first commitment of the 2027 class and he has been active on social media trying to help build the class. Purcell had a big junior season. In 12 games he threw for 2,871 yards and 28 touchdowns. He added another 10 touchdowns on the ground. David Segarra III, RB, Duncan, South Carolina (Uncommitted) Both Tennessee and South Carolina look like the biggest competition for Segarra. He has scheduled an official visit this summer to South Carolina and is coming off a junior day visit to Tennessee. IU running backs coach John Miller is the lead recruiter here according to 247Sports. Jaden Baldwin, WR, Chandler, Arizona (Uncommitted) Baldwin has the speed and size that makes him a highly sought after recruit. The Hoosiers are one of 17 offers Baldwin has. It'll be interesting if the west coast schools come into play for him. Luke Injaychock, OL, La Grange Park, Illinois (Uncommitted) Injaychock has 17 total offers including in-state Illinois. The Hoosiers and Bob Bostad have had good luck recruiting offensive linemen in Illinois. Corey Laga, OL,Lemont, Illinois (Uncommitted) Dewey Young, OL, Kalamazzo, MI (Uncommitted) A four-star tackle from the same high school that produced Derek Jeter (not like that means anything). Young has 18 total offers. Mason Halliman, OL, Frankfort, Illinois (Uncommitted) Another tackle prospect from the midwest. He has 15 total offers Caleb Johnson, OL, Noblesville, IN (Uncommitted) Johnson is not yet rated by the major services. He does hold 10 offers, but does not have a reported offer from IU. Jalaythan Mayfield, LB, Lincolnton ,NC (Uncommitted) A national top 175 player accoring to 247Sports' composite rankings. He has a handful of SEC offers including Alabama, Auburn, Florida and 23 other schools. Bryant Haines is leading the recruitment on Mayfield. As a junior he made 109 tackles, 18 tackles for loss with 10 sacks according to 247Sports. Brady Scott, Safety, Reading, MA (Uncommitted) A rare dip into the Northeast for Indiana may be beneficial. Scott is a top five player in Massachusetts and top 450 nationally according to 247Sports. IU offered Scott back in May and he holds 11 other offers. IU's February 1st Visitors Elijah Kimbell, RB, Buffalo, NY (Uncommitted) Kimbell is the top player in New York State and Washington and Miami are hot on the trail. He has 37 offers and has put up some impressive numbers so far at Canisius High School. During his sophomore and junior seasons Kimbell has run for 3,599 yards and 50 touchdowns. Isaiah Rogers, RB, Springfield, MA (Uncommitted) Caden Waye, RB, McDonough, GA (Uncommitted) Coming off a nearly 1,200 yard rushing season, Waye is a top 200 recruit nationally. He holds an IU offer and offers from 33 other programs. Da'Jon Rhodes, RB, Washington DC (Uncommitted) Charles Britton, WR, Bellville, MI (Uncommitted) Britton has an offer from Alabama and Indiana among 31 other schools. Eli Furguson, WR, Brentwood, TN (Uncommitted) IU offered Ferguson back in April. The 3-star prospect has 15 total offers. Josiah Wallace, OL, Chicago, IL (Uncommitted) David Folorunsho, DE , Chicago, IL (Uncommitted) Folorunsho has 19 offers including one from IU. Reinaldo Perez, DE, Columbus, OH (Uncommitted) Getting a top 10 player in Ohio from Ohio State's back yard on to campus is a sign of the times. He has an offer from the Buckeyes to boot. He holds offers from IU, OSU and 20 other programs. Munir Lewis, DE, Cleveland, OH (Uncommitted) Dami Sowunmi, DT, Brownsburg, IN Darrell Mattison, Safety, Chicago, IL
