As Scott Dolson mentions to open his latest version of a Merchants Bank Field at Memorial Stadium enhancement survey, there have been some unprecedented happenings in Indiana football these past two years. While the on the field success speaks for itself, it cannot be overlooked just how much the in-stadium experience has improved of late as well.
But, just like Coach Cignetti roaming the sidelines, we are never satisfied.
With a fully enclosed stadium, new club seating options, enhanced food and beverage options through Levy, and much more already in place from the last time the fanbase was polled (2023), Dolson and his staff are at it again to check the pulse of the nation. This time, the focus appears aimed at the West side of the stadium. The survey’s opening reads:
“IU Athletics is preparing for the next major renovation to Merchants Bank Field at Memorial Stadium. This project will focus on the west sideline and aims to:
- Create new, modern hospitality spaces for Hoosier fans to gather and socialize;
- Upgrade existing seating to enhance the in-seat experience;
- Introduce a variety of new seating options that offer exciting ways to enjoy IU football; and,
- Other key fan-focused enhancements.”
The survey then walks through numerous stadium seating enhancement questions and aims to pinpoint fan’s biggest grievances with the current in-stadium experience. It can be completed in 10-15 minutes and as a thank you for completing the survey, you will be entered to win four tickets and a VIP experience to next year’s season opener against North Texas (one winner) or an autographed Curt Cignetti football (20 winners).
