The Hoosiers received a lot of grief for their schedule prior to the season, even though it was more difficult on paper than in 2024. The non-conference schedule proved to be much more respectable than people thought as Old Dominion won nine regular season games and Kennesaw State won nine games and will play for the C-USA title next weekend. Indiana State had a disappointing season with a roster that should have won more than three games.

The Hoosiers Big Ten schedule featured a three game stretch that defined the season (Illinois, at Iowa and at Oregon) with three games against teams who were all ranked in the top 25 at some point this season. IU went 3-0.
