With just a couple of weeks until National Signing Day the Hoosiers flipped another prospect from a Power Four school. On Thursday three-star safety D’Montae Tims flipped his commitment from Colorado to Indiana.
Tims is rated a a three star prospect by 247Sports Composite rankings (86.67). He had originally committed to Missouri in April before changing his commitment to Colorado in July, but an official visit to IU last week changed Tims’ mind again. Tims is out of Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida, a school that went 12-1 in 2024.
Tims has good hands and has the ability to read the play well. He has a nose for the ball as well. Tims also ran track at Armwood, so the speed is there. At Armwood he did spend time playing outside linebacker and close to the line of scrimmage which would look great in IU’s rover position.
The Hoosiers 2026 class has 25 members and is ranked 27th nationally by 247Sports.
