Numbers drive so much in today’s world and the sports world is no different. Now more than ever teams are hiring and building analytics teams to get every edge possible over their opponents. Over the course of the season, we’ll look into many of those numbers ahead of the Indiana Hoosiers’ matchups each week, so be on the lookout for that!

Without further ado, let’s get into it:

126th

…Represents where Wisconsin ranks on Pro Football Focus’ (PFF) overall offensive grades across the country. Wisconsin has not had their best year thus far in 2025 and the offensive side of the ball is a major reason why. Currently, the Badgers rank last in the Big Ten in total yards per game with just 255 yards. This will be a major area for the Hoosiers to exploit on Saturday. If the Hoosiers continue their stellar play on defense, there should not be many points scored by the Badgers.

69th

…Represents where Wisconsin ranks on PFF’s overall defensive grades across the country. The Badgers’ defense has been fine this season. They’ve put up strong performances against Oregon (21 points surrendered) and Washington (10 points surrendered) recently, but have not put together a strong track record overall thus far in 2025. There are several games throughout the year where 30+ points were surrendered by this defense. If Indiana’s offense continues to put up the elite numbers we’ve been seeing this season, the Hoosiers should have no problem scoring points on Saturday.

1st

…Represents where Indiana ranks on PFF’s overall team grade rankings across the country. Yes, the Indiana Hoosiers are graded as the best team in the entire country. Behind them, PFF ranks Ohio State, Texas Tech, Miami, and Oregon. Indiana has been one of the top two teams seemingly all season long on PFF. Check out the larger list below:

8th

…Represents where Devan Boykin ranks among all safeties graded on PFF across the country. Of course, Boykin is not a traditional safety – he plays the all important rover position – but those specialty positions still fall into the safety categories on PFF. Boykin transferred to the Hoosiers this season from NC State and has instantly found a home. He ranks first in the country among safeties in rush defense and ranks 5th on the team in total tackles. Boykin has blossomed into an integral player for the Hoosiers on defense and will be a key cog as Indiana strives for a National Championship.

8%

…Represents – speaking of National Championships – Indiana’s percent likelihood of winning the College Football National Championship in the 2025/2026 season, per PFF. Last week, this figure was 9%, so it dropped slightly, but Indiana is still the 4th most likely team to win it all. In case you’re planning your trip, the National Championship is taking place on Monday, January 19th at 7:30 PM EST in Miami, Florida. The game will be played at Hard Rock Stadium.
