Name: Nevaeh Caffey

Height: 5’10”

Hometown/High School: Warrenton, Missouri/Incarnate Word Academy

Class: Freshman

Position: Guard

Hailing from Missouri, Nevaeh Caffey was a star guard at Incarnate Word Academy and helped her team to four straight state championships and a national consecutive win record of 139 games. The Miss Show-Me Basketball 2025 averaged 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.2 steal per game her senior year, according to IUHoosiers.com

Caffey is a skilled defender, shooter and hard worker, so it is no surprise she has stood out to head Coach Teri Moren since arriving to Bloomington this summer.

In the Hoosiers’ 100-32 exhibition win over Missouri S&T, Caffey stood out on defense and recorded 9 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals in 23 minutes.

It’s no secret defensive hustle earns minutes for a Moren-coached squad, so even as a freshman she’ll be seeing the floor more than freshman have in recent years. There’s no doubt Caffey will help set the tone and expectation for this year’s team on defense.
