The Indiana Women’s Basketball season unofficially tips off in 6 days with the Hoosiers’ first exhibition game. The Hoosiers will face Missouri S&T on Monday, October 27th at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. New for this season at Hoosier Huddle is the Countdown to Tip-off which will feature each member of the men’s and women’s basketball squad as we await the season. Today we feature a familiar face in Valentyna Kadlecova.

Hometown/High School: Kadan, Czech Republic
Class: Sophomore
Position: Guard
Hailing from Czech Republic, Valentyna Kadlecova is one of four Hoosiers to return to the IU women’s basketball squad for the 2025-26 season. She joined the IU women’s basketball program coming off a professional basketball season with DSK Levharyive Chomutov. Kadlecova averaged 11.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, according to IUHoosiers.com.
The 6-foot guard saw the floor in 11 games last season for a total of 37 minutes and totaled 16 points, 4 rebounds and an assist while shooting 46.2 percent from the field.
With a year of experience in Coach Moren’s system, she will have an opportunity to contribute more this season.
The Hoosiers open the regular season vs Lipscomb at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on November 4th.
