The Indiana Women’s Basketball season unofficially tips off in 24 days with the Hoosiers’ first exhibition game (32 Days until the regular season tips off). The Hoosiers will face Missouri S&T on Monday, October 27th at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
New for this season at Hoosier Huddle is the Countdown to Tip-off where will profile each of the men’s and women’s basketball players as we await the season. Today we feature a familiar face in Faith Wiseman.

Name: Faith Wiseman
Height/Weight: 6’4”
Hometown/High School: Martinsville, Indiana/Indian Creek HS
Class: Sophomore
Position: Forward
Born and raised a Hoosier, Faith Wiseman made her commitment to Teri Moren and the Indiana Women’s Basketball program early in her junior year of high schooll. Wiseman ended her decorated career at Indian Creek HS with 1,456 career points and 1,072 rebounds. She averaged a double-double her senior season– 18.2 points, 11.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 3.9 blocks, and 1.9 steals per game, according to IUHoosiers.com.
Last season as a freshman, Wiseman saw the floor in 11 games for a total of 38 minutes. Despite not seeing the floor in big games, she gained a lot of confidence and played a crucial role in Indiana’s 16-point Big Ten Tournament win over Oregon. She recorded two rebounds, an assist, a steal, and drew two charges in 10 minutes.
With sophomore transfer Zania Socka-Nguemen expected to start at the five this season, Wiseman is expected to gain experience and make an impact off the bench in her second season at IU.
The Hoosiers open the regular season vs Lipscomb at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on November 4th.
