The Indiana Hoosiers had a trio of players named to the AP All-American Second Team on Monday. Wide receiver Elijah Sarratt, linebacker Aiden Fisher and cornerback D’Angelo Ponds were all listed.
Sarrat returns to the receiving corps after posting 957 yards and eight touchdowns on 53 catches. He is looking to become IU’s first 1,000-yard receiver since Whop Philyor in 2019 (1,002).
Fisher is the heartbeat of the IU defense and is coming into the season looking to be the Big Ten’s best defender. He made 118 total tackles last season including 5.5 for loss.
Ponds is just as decorated as the other two Hoosier players. He is IU’s best cover corner. Last season he had three interceptions, 55 tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss.
