IU Football Checks In at 20th in Initial AP Poll

The IU Football team will enter the 2025 regular season ranked 20th in the first AP poll of the season. This is the 13th straight week that IU is ranked in the AP top 25 and the 80th week all-time.

The IU Football team will enter the 2025 regular season ranked 20th in the first AP poll of the season. This is the 13th straight week that IU is ranked in the AP top 25 and the 80th week all-time.

The Hoosiers finished the 2024 season 10th in the AP Poll after an 11-2 season and a berth into the College Football Playoff.

IU is one of six Big Ten teams ranked in the AP Poll. Here is the full rankings:

The Hoosiers play three teams (Penn State, Oregon and Illinois) ranked in the preseason top 25 this season. IU also plays Iowa who is receiving votes.
