Hoosier Huddle Internship
Hoosierhuddle.com is looking for student interns to help with our coverage of Indiana Hoosiers Football. We are looking for students who are passionate about college football and want experience in sports journalism.
Hoosier Huddle was established in July of 2013 and exclusively covers Indiana Football. We have set out to change the status quo. While we understand that Indiana will always be considered a “Basketball School”, that does not mean that there isn’t room enough for two programs in Bloomington. We hope that in the coming days, months and years we can become your leading source for FREE Hoosier Football information.
We plan on providing the standards, or at least that is the case at every other Big Ten school, such as season previews, individual game previews, game recaps, recruiting news, etc. We also plan to break down the history and traditions of the program while providing you with player profiles and daily insight into the program that you clearly love as much as we do.
We need your help to bring Hoosier Huddle to the next level.
Internship responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:
1) Creating original content (at least one a week)
2) Covering breaking news
3) Covering official IU football media availabilities
4) Transcribing recordings
5) Help advertise around campus
6) Be active on social media
7) Ability to fill-in on podcasts
8) Other Miscellaneous Tasks
Requirements
1) Excellent computer skills
2) High-quality writing and understanding of AP Style
3) Passion for college football
4) Ability to work on a deadline
5) Video editing skills helpful
