The Indiana Hoosier players are continuing to reap the rewards of playing in an offense that averaged 38.4 points per contest as junior quarterback Nate Sudfeld was named to the Manning Award watch list on Thursday afternoon.

The Manning Award was created in 2004 in honor of former Ole Miss quarterback Archie Manning and sons, Peyton and Eli Manning. The award is presented by the Allstate Sugar Bowl and is the only college football quarterback award that takes a player’s bowl game performance into consideration. The 2014 award will be presented following the College Football Playoff Championship Game.

Sudfeld, who will be the full time starter in 2014, threw for 2,523 yards and 21 touchdowns as a sophomore while splitting time with the now departed Tre Roberson
