Late this evening Tyree Horton announced via his twitter account that the Hoosiers had offered him a scholarship. The Miami Native finished his first season at Highland Community College in Kansas this past fall, recording 63 tackles, including 6.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble.

When it comes to recruiting, Coach Wilson and his staff have taken advantage of the Big Ten’s increased footprint. In this last recruiting cycle the Hoosiers were able to pluck defensive back Tyler Green and running back Devonte Williams out of the backyard of Big Ten East Rival Maryland. Indiana is hopeful they can ride this momentum into the next recruiting class, looking to add some more talented athletes from the state of Maryland.
